    Feedback about the state of Apps on the Xbox Store


    I know it's not directly related to Insider builds, but I think it's a place to open a dialogue about the apps selection on Xbox, as there are devs here, and MS is monitoring this sub. Please delete if you think it's irrelevant, my intention is good.

    Maybe it's just me, but I find the App section of the Xbox Store to be very difficult and confusing to browse in. At least in my region (Canada) there are dozens of apps that I think have no place there. Not only that I find that it cheapens the store, but it's making it hard to wade through the selection, and some of them feels extremely sketchy or flat out illegal.

    Example such as;

    • Apps that has nothing to do with a console, such as "Tips for audio interface mixing".
    • Apps that uses the game's tile icon but it's not a game but "A guide" / "Help" / "Tips" etc.
    • Apps that are streaming movies or TV shows from unknown sources.
    • Apps that are not designed for controllers or TV screen.

    Just browse the app section and see what I mean.

    This is not unlike the Windows 10 store, but I find it a little bit more expected on a PC device (yet still unwelcomed). I don't understand why do we even see them on a high end consumer media device. My guess is that these devs just tick a box and publish to Xbox along side Windows, but I think the Xbox store should be more curated and remove these apps.

    Can any of the Xbox team members share their thought ? Other users see that as well, or is it just on my side ?

    Wasteland 2 - Game Pass for PC Save Issue

    I'm sorry to hear about this save issue with these two games. In it's current state, the Xbox (Beta) app for PC doesn't give you a choice on what drive to save the progress or game to. From what I've seen, games installed from the app or available
    to download from the Microsoft Store through the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription are under the same program interface so it seems everything saves under the default drive that the OS is saved on and it does not allow permissions to configure the files.

    I recommend using the built-in feedback tool within the Xbox (Beta) app to help us better understand the issue you are facing. Just click on your profile photo and select “Feedback” from the dropdown menu to open Feedback Hub. Feedback Hub enables
    you to provide feedback about Windows and apps by sharing your suggestions or problems.

    Issues with the new Xbox Store

    Howdy!

    I think that's the kind of feedback that the Xbox Insiders Program would like to hear about, but as far as I know, they don't scan this forum for feedback input.

    I'd recommend sending your feedback about the new store directly through the Xbox Insiders Hub app on the console or perhaps visiting the Xbox Insiders sub-Reddit.

    How to get Wordament app only to download to PC ?

    Unfortunately there isn't an individual Wordament app in the Microsoft Store. Microsoft Ultimate Word Games is the newer version of word games on Windows 10, which includes Crosswords, Wordament, and Jumble. Instead of separating the games into 3 different
    apps, they are all found in one app.

    Feedback for apps on Windows can be submitted through the Feedback Hub app for Windows 10. Feedback Hub enables you to provide feedback about Windows and apps by sharing your suggestions or problems.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

    The new Xbox (Beta) App has been going though some kinks but the development team is working hard to fix these issues. There was a recent update for the app that can be found by selecting My Library in the Microsoft Store app. Then you can check for updates
    to make sure the app is up to date.

    The Xbox App is still in beta, as the name suggest. Microsoft needs all the feedback from users experiencing issues so that those issues can be addressed.
