Feature request - On screen volume control

    Feature request - On screen volume control


    I use my Xbox to control my surround sound system, with the X1 and X2 buttons on the chat pad as volume up and down buttons, and it works well, but there is a problem.

    From where people sit, it's impossible to see the volume level on the amplifier and we rely on that so we know how loud we can have the sound without waking our youngest son up (who's bedroom is about the lounge where the Xbox is).

    What would be very helpful is to have an app which displays the volume level on screen. There will be no way for the amplifier and Xbox to communicate the correct level, but it should be possible to set the max volume, current volume and volume change per press to calibrate the on screen display to the display on the amplifier. It would also help if a soft "max volume" contact be set to prevent our other kids turning up the volume too loud too!

    How to increase volume of streamed TV in Xbox app

    Hi Sargon, when streaming audio defaults to the PC for control, the App doesn't provide a control panel for the volume. If you feel this feature is something that should be considered feel free to submit a feature request via Xbox App Beta using the "Report
    a problem".

    Volume options for snapped tv while playing game

    MrGanja79, at the moment there is not a way to isolate and control the volume between the snap and main screen option. The request has already been sent. I/we are aware that people want this option, and we are looking into it. Thanks for your input. Game

    Youtube Volume Control!?

    Glad to know others have this issue as well, I mean it's not the end of the world but the feature to control volume for the videos themselves would be nice.

    I actually spoke to support today and the only way they know of controlling the volume is through voice commands, which only turns up and down the television volume. So it seems this is a new bug.

    Bear in mind though, that not all features of the keyboard are supported (eg F Keys, volume controls, and any other special buttons)
