Feature Request: Capture In-Game Cross-Play Chat Audio on Console Broadcasts

Overview:

Currently, streaming directly from the Xbox console excludes in-game voice chat (cross-play channels, proximity chat, or squad comms in titles like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Apex Legends). Viewers can only hear the streamer's voice, leaving streams silent on one side and significantly reducing audience engagement.

Due to this key limitation, many content creators and players end up switching to the PlayStation 5, as PS5 offers a seamless and hassle-free native broadcasting experience that allows in-game party and game audio to be included with ease.

Proposed Solution:

Allow Xbox native streaming (Twitch, Lightstream, etc.) to capture in-game proximity and team voice channels, protected by an opt-in or notification system similar to Xbox Party Chat:

1. Privacy Notification/Opt-In: At the start of a match or upon joining a game channel, show a standard system notification or prompt to lobby members (e.g., "Audio in this channel is currently being broadcasted").
2. User Control: Give other players in the lobby the ability to mute their voice from the stream or toggle an opt-in preference in their system settings.
3. Streamer Toggle: Provide a setting under Capture & Share > Live Streaming allowing streamers to enable or disable in-game chat capture.

Why This Matters:

With cross-play now being the standard for multi-platform gaming, most players use in-game chat rather than platform-specific party chats. Implementing this privacy-compliant solution would bridge a major feature gap between Xbox and competing platforms, helping retain creators on the Xbox ecosystem.
