    We have the ability to connect the 360 to the HDMI input on the Xbox One and see it under TV menu but the Xbox One controller doesn't work. A 360 controller still has to be used.

    It seems that Microsoft could, possibly pretty easily, create something like a "system link" which would essentially by like the TV app but would tell the Xbox One that a 360 is connected. And, possibly through a usb patch cable between the 2 systems, would
    also allow the Xbox One's controller input to be sent to the 360. This would eliminate the need for having to have 2 controllers around but would also be a method of backwards compatibility for games that won't be officially supported via the Xbox One either
    because they aren't popular enough or perhaps too difficult to officially be supported.

    Just an idea.

    The Xbox One and the Xbox 360 controllers don't use the same method of communicating with the console. The 360 uses a proprietary 2.4 GHz RF protocol while the Xbox One uses a modified Wi-Fi setup that was developed to reduce input lag to around 9 milliseconds.

    I think you would generate so much lag with any kind of hybrid setup as you suggest that the system might be unplayable with even 10-15 milliseconds more lag. Talking through a cable like that takes time
