Faulty Xbox wireless controller - return request bug - "We're sorry, but something went...

Hey there. i had the same problem but was able to register the device eventually through Microsoft.com and not through the Xbox.com site

But i got the same problem when applying for warranty for my new controller which was faulty out of the box. At the 2nd last step it said "We're sorry. Something went wrong on our side, and we are working on it" and i ended up here. its 3:00 am and am effing
tired. Lets see what happens.

Do you have another controller you can test with? Or can you test this controller on another console?

Perhaps try linking your controller again with the link below. With the dpad, it may just be a faulty controller. You'll need to request a replacement.

• if within the time frame for return at the point of purchase for the controller, you may return it for exchange,
• request a replacement controller online with Microsoft/Xbox (this may not be an option if you do not have a console),
• request a call back from Xbox Support for assistance with requesting a replacement controller.

Hi, I believe with faulty hardware you must send in the faulty controller to a repair centre before they send another one out. I would check this with a support rep or support chat first.

To request an item to be sent in for repairs or replacement, you will need to contact Xbox LIVE support via live chat or phone, and they can begin the returns/repairs procedure.
