Fault with controller or console?

Hi, I've recently purchased an xbox one s for my son (UK customer) , After 3 days use the controller icon is moving so fast you can't actually select anything. The controller was exchanged for a new one. The new controller started doing the same thing after
5 days use! What I did notice was when my son did eventually get onto a game (Roblox) the controller works fine, and moves left to right as normal. Am I unlucky with 2 faulty remotes? Or could there be an issue with the console?

Party chat not working properly.

Was that with your headset and console, and his controller? If so, it's your controller (or chat adapter) at fault.

Headset HELP

If you have another headset (even a regular wired headset that comes with an Xbox, or a plain hands-free headset for an old cell phone) you can try that. If headset 2 also has the loose connection problem, then you know it's your controller at fault. If
headset 2 works, then try another controller. If controller 2 also has the loose connection problem then you know it's your headset's wire at fault.

Same issue from the start, the controller seems to be pressing more that 3 buttons and i wont let me pass the 1st confuguration screen

Oh, just one further thing. Above it was suggested that the fault lays within the controller. Whilst this is likely, I did double the chance of success by purchasing another controller and connecting both by USB, and they still display the fault. Is it
likely that the fault lays in the console itself?

Controllers come with a limited 90 day warranty so you may be able to exchange or repair it. If you've exhausted all other troubleshooting options (which it seems like you have) I would go that route
