Far Cry 3 Classic Edition FPS Boost

I booted up far cry three classic edition on my series X today, and the second I got in the game was running horribly. I wondered why it was running horribly on my console if I had the newest one. Then I remembered the feature called “FPS Boost.” So I went to check off the box to boost my FPS when I realized I couldn’t do that. So I went to browse online to see if anyone else had this issue, and it turns out the Xbox 360 version of Far Cry 3 has this feature, and it works perfectly. Why can’t you add this to the Classic Edition?

I'm also having the same problem.. It makes no sense to make this function available only for the Xbox 360 version!

Impossible to play this way.. Apparently the game doesn't even reach 30 fps

I understand that you wish that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition supports the FPS boost feature. However, I regret to inform you that the backwards compatibility program ended a couple of years ago and Microsoft doesn't have any plans to add more games or features to supported games.

Therefore, this means that, unfortunately, you will not be able to see future enhancements for this and other backward compatible games.

Hi,

Have you enabled FPS boost for this game? The default settings for Far Cry 5 runs the game at 30 fps (30 frames per second). This game has an 'FPS Boost' option that allows you to play this game at a much smoother 60fps.

On Xbox Series X, go to My Games and Apps
Select Far Cry 5 and choose Manage Games & Add Ons
Choose Compatibility Options, then select FPS Boost
Enable FPS Boost for Far Cry 5
Launch the game.

As I checked and analyzed the said websites, since UBISFOT is somehow vague on when the freebie is available. This is what I have understood.

Gold Edition features all deluxe content, plus the Season Pass, including EARLY ACCESS to Far Cry® 3 Classic Edition. Highlight on EARLY ACCESS.

The EARLY ACCESS will be available for those who have preordered the Far Cry 5 Gold Edition.

The freebie is a Far Cry 3 Classic Edition for current-gen consoles (Xbox One,
NOT Xbox 360 version that was released in 2012). It will be released summer of 2018.

That means, the freebie will be available 4 weeks before Summer of 2018. NOT the one mostly assumed it is 4 weeks before Far Cry 5 gets released.

I hope this clears out any confusion.
