    Fan noise while playing WD


    Help please!

    Whenever I play Watch Dogs on my Xbox 360 slim,

    the fan always sound so loud and the 360 gets hot, and this never happens when I play other games.

    I always install games on the harddrive (250 gb btw).

    Is there anyone else who have this problem?

    The 360 slim is supposed to be quiet!

    Xbox One X Fan sounds way louder than usual

    Ok I moved it and it has not shut off sense but the Xbox One X Fan noise is not constant and is still loud maybe not as loud as a jet engine like I describe before but still loud way louder than my Xbox One S and OG Xbox One, it would have a fan burst
    when I'm playing which is loud and annoying and the fan noise would never be at a constant noise level while I'm playing a game.

    Clicking noise?

    A clicking noise would be either A) the fan off balance at low RPM or B) the HDD. The HDD would only make noise while seeking though so probably your fan if it's constant.

    Try cleaning your xbox fan grills with a hoover set on low power!

    (WARNING! Not a recommended xbox 360 cleaning technique!)

    My console was going nuts with a few games and I eventually just cleaned the console and the noises stopped!

    Hard disk noise normal?

    No, not completely silent, about 42dB - there is always a slight sound due to the hard drive and fans.

    The annoying noise issue (which I believe is due to coil whine), will make a noise of 50dB when the Xbox is idle, but will not happen while you're playing a game.

    Do you clean the vents occasionally.

    Mine was starting to make a lot of noise and I realized it was the fan running excessively after playing for a while. Cleaned it up and problem solved.
