    I own halo wars 2 on my main microsoft account and way back in 2018 I purchased the awakening the nightmare dlc however I for some reason bought it on a different Microsoft account however I was still able to use the dlc when playing the game on my main Microsoft account. since then I have taken a break from playing halo wars 2 and on return I find that I can no longer access the dlc characters when checking the Microsoft store I am told that the dlc does not work on my device and I cannot install it.

    Hey there Tyrant! When purchasing content, it is tied to the account that purchased it. However, it can be shared in some ways. If you purchase content on your console, then any user can use it there at any time. You can also use the content on another console,
    as long as your account is logged in to LIVE at all times.

    So, if you purchase a game and want to share the experience with your brother on his console, you can move your profile there and both play the game. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions, thanks!

    You mean share gold subscription to share games and DLC? Yeah there's a option in the XBOX1 to share with family. If your sharing with a friend best not to have any credit/debit cards in the billing section.

    I don't think you understand how family accounts work

    Family accounts don't share benefits or dlc

    Home console does and only DLC

    FAMILY accounts let's the parental account control what a child does that's it

    No console let's you do what you think family accounts do

    the family sharing of gold is not reversed

    only the dlc is and its going to work just like xbox 360 live as it exists today so no more game sharing except for console
