    Family setup with Game Pass Ulitmate


    Please Help this is driving me insane.

    So up until recently i had an Xbox one S.

    Me and the kids all played on it together and everything was harmonious.

    No i have got myself a series S for the living room.

    My problems are as such.

    Most of the games have been downloaded on my profile through either gamepass or free to play (fortnite).

    If im playing upstairs on the one s and my son attempts to play fortnite on his profile it wont let him unless im also logged into the series s which kicks me off my game.

    What the hell am i doing wrong. I thought games were sharable across the family in one household especially a free to play one.

    This is the same for my daughter who plays sims. This is free on game pass but i have had to buy a digital copy for her to play on her profile otherwise again i cannot play on the other console.

    This is nutts!

    Please tell me im doing something wrong.

    The Home setting is what allows you to share your gold/games with other profiles. Any profile using your Home console should be able to play online without needing your account and without kicking you off another console. However, you can only have 1 console set as your Home at a time.

    Im not sure if that would fix the issue?

    My one s is currently my home console and we all use either console depending which is free.

    If i make the series s my home console i still wouldn't be able to play if the kids are?

    Does his make sense?

    Best way to test games to see if you like them is the Ulitmate Game Pass, just a thought
