Family Safety Features: MSFT are cutting access to products on 13th January 2023 due to...

Our son who is an 11 year old autistic boy with development delay is currently registered as the "family organiser" under Family Safety Features.

We we try to log in to his account to reallocate the family organiser role to an adult we are prompted to seek parental authority, however when I put in my email we are told "Parent or Guardian Consent is required" and must be given by 13th January 2023 or the account will be unable to access Microsoft Products and services.

Microsoft will not support the issue and are pushing us to contact xbox (our son only used the account for Minecraft) or post here. It is not a xbox issue and I dont see how it is a community issue as it is microsoft who need to reallocate the "family organiser" role. This is also impacting our daughters account as our she will have to seek consent from our son to install software, however he would not be competent to do this or even log in.

    Any ideas?

    :)

Hey there C and T Daddy.

To clarify, your son is creating new accounts to work around the current child protection you've set up? You should be able to limit access to content with the step on this

    Family Safety Feature Troubleshooter
, have you already given that a go?
