Family Safety/child account suggestion: Allow parents to meter the $$ in child account

I realize that I can approve/reject purchases, but what I'd like to be able to do is give my kids an allowance, in addition to that.

E.g., automatically give them $20/month. Or, retract money if they don't make their grades.

    Thanks

    :)

Family Safety/child account suggestion: Allow parents to meter the $$ in child account

Hello there @poodlelulu, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. You won't be able to retract money from their account; However, you are perfectly able to purchase games or gift cards as a gift for them. For example, if you wish to reward them by purchasing their favorite
games or by giving them Microsoft account balance to purchase what they like you can definitely do so by gifting it to them through the Microsoft store. All you need to do is access the game of the gift card, select buy as a gift, and them type in their Microsoft
email address in order for it to be processed as a gift. Below you will find a link to a more detailed description about gifting items, you can check it out if you wish to know more about the matter.

I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out! All the best!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

How do I make it so my child can stream on Xbox series s when hes old enough but it says it will be disabled

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

If your child's Xbox Series S account is set up as a child account, there are a few steps you can take to allow your child to stream on the console when they are old enough.

Make sure that your child's account is linked to a parent account. If it is not already linked, you can link the child account to a parent account by going to "Settings" > "Account" > "Family" on the console, and then following the prompts to link the accounts.

Once the child account is linked to a parent account, the parent can change the privacy and online safety settings for the child account by going to "Settings" > "Account" > "Family" > "Manage family members" > [child's name] > "Privacy & online safety".

Under the "Privacy & online safety" settings, the parent can change the settings for "Online safety" and "Broadcasting". For example, the parent can allow the child to participate in multiplayer gaming and share content online, or allow the child to stream content.

If the parent account is not able to change the settings for the child account, it may be because the child account is set up as a "Younger child" account. In this case, the parent will need to request that the child's account be converted to a "Child" account. This can be done by going to "Settings" > "Account" > "Family" > "Manage family members" > [child's name] > "Change to a child account".

I hope this information helps you allow your child to stream on the Xbox Series S.

"Profile Not Allowed to Play on Xbox Live"

Since you are on a family Gold account, you will have to go to Parental Controls and set the controls to allow Xbox LIVE play on your child accounts.

    -

    You can use this
    Xbox Parental Control Helper
to set the child accounts to allow Xbox LIVE.

    -

Here is the section that will help you with allowing access to LIVE:

Change your child’s safety and privacy settings

    1. Sign in to Xbox LIVE using an adult account.
    2. Go to Settings, and then select Family.
    3. Select the child account that you want to manage.
    4. Go to Online Safety, and then select Change Settings.
    5. Change the settings to whatever you’d like.
    6. To exit, press the B button on your controller, and then select Save and Exit.

    I hope this helped. :)
