Family Safety App update messed up app?

Since the family safety update, my sons xbox time is no longer limited. The app has all the correct information and then shows limit reached, but it doesn’t end his screen time. Has this happened to anyone? I have deleted and readded the app.

    :)

Family Safety App update messed up app?

Hi Marisa H! My name is Darhlene and I'm more than happy to help you out!

I am sorry to hear that you are having a difficulties of this issue by updating the family app. Moreover, according to Sun Khou; the Microsoft Agent | Moderator:

"Check that your family member's Microsoft account didn't expire on their device

Have them sign in with their Microsoft account on their device. Select Start > Settings > Accounts Select Verify and follow the prompts to verify their account. If you don't see the Verify option, open Microsoft Edge on their device and verify the account at https://aka.ms/familyverify.

Check the privacy settings on your family member's device

Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & feedback and make sure the diagnostic data level is set to Enhanced or Full.

If the device usage data seems inaccurate, keep in mind that idle time counts as screen time, but doesn’t count as usage.

    Try rebooting your family’s devices

Select Start > Power > Restart.

Make sure your family’s devices have the latest Windows updates

Select Start > Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > Check for updates and install any available updates. We’re always making improvements.

Family Safety NOTIFICATION Settings... why can I not find a way to change them online?

The problem is not on Xbox. The problem is associated with the Microsoft Family Safety App as well as the online Family Safety website.

There was no option under the list of “products” close to the Family Safety App except under Xbox when I submitted this request for help. Nor is there a “chat” or “phone” support option for the App…

I appreciate the above info but it is all unrelated to the Family Safety App which affects use across more than just Xbox, such as laptop, online access etc. for kids in the family.

Any help on the App and notification settings within the App is what I am looking for support on.

    Family Safety App

Hello Natalie, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the app.

Please check this link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil... for information on using the app to limit times.

If you are having trouble approving and limiting times then the best I can recommend is to try deleting and redownloading it.

Beyond that, if there is an issue with the app then we haven't been informed and would have no information on when it may be fixed if that's the case.
