    Family Safety and Minecraft?

I built my daughter a computer and wanted to play minecraft with her via the Lan option in minecraft but the family Safety section I have set up doesn't seem to be allowing her to join the Lan. Is there something I can do other that removing the family Safety locks?

    :)

    Family Safety and Minecraft?

Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

You need to manage your daughter's Privacy Settings at https://account.xbox.com/en-us/Profile?xr=mebar... but make sure that you already added her to your Family Group as a MEMBER before changing her Privacy Settings. On the Privacy Settings page, make sure that all settings under the Privacy tab and Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety are set to "Allow" or "Everyone". It should be like the screenshot below.

Also, make sure to set these settings to "Allow" or "Everyone".

    - You can see and upload community creations

    - You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text

    - Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites

minecraft multiplayer is disabled, i searched for the solution online finding xbox family settings app but the app isnt avilable in my country

Hi, Loop! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry you are experiencing issues accessing multiplayer features on Minecraft.

If the Xbox Family Settings app is not available in your country, your parents/guardians can manage your account permissions via the Xbox website.

To do this on a browser:

    - An adult will need to sign in at https://account.microsoft.com
    - Scroll down and click on "Family"
    - Select "Add a family member"
    - Here your family organizer can change age filters and restrictions for your child account.
    - Online safety and privacy settings can be changed by the organizer's account at: https://account.xbox.com/settings

The following settings need to be enabled to allow access to multiplayer features on Minecraft:

    - You can join multiplayer games
    - You can join cross-network play
    - You can create or join clubs

This can also be done on an Xbox console by signing in to the family organizer's account and going to Settings > Account > Family Settings > Manage family members.

More information on safety settings for Minecraft can be found at:

Please let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
    Best regards.

Cant add my child as friend

    Hello Bart 124.

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

Thank you for your feedback, I noticed that you are experiencing an issue with not being able to adjust member permissions in Family Safety.

Based on the information you have provided, it appears that this issue may not be related to Family Safety, and the fact that the Minecraft game is restricted to ages 10+ for that classification may be the root cause of the issue.

Additionally, if your child is an administrator account himself, you are not able to control his computer through Family Safety.

    Sincerely

    Daphne-MSFT|Microsoft Community Support Specialist
