Family safety and content filtering removal

I am getting frustrated by the ridiculous family safety bs that seems to have randomly gotten on my xbox account. I attempted to download palworld through the xbox app on my PC and I was denied because of 'content filtering'. I am 29 years old. I have played teen and mature games on my account with 0 issues in the past including back when I was a teenager. My parents have never had any interaction with my xbox account and I am the only one in my 'family'. Why is this now showing up? Why can I not just remove this from my account or deactivate this feature?

I've found the following articles but they don't help:

    - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/leave-family-group-or-remove-members-6d806bbb-eb38-a978-10f4-3bbb814ffcc4 (cant leave, no option)

    :)

Hi there. My name is Ron, I'm an independent advisor. I will be more than happy to help you.

Please do the steps below to remove the restriction for the account you are using.

As the organiser, sign in to your Microsoft account on the Xbox console.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Online safety & family > Family settings.

Select Manage family members, and then choose the profile whose settings you want to adjust.

Select Access to content, and then change the filter to Unrestricted under Access to content & apps.

If I remove my son from the family account so he doesn’t have any restrictions will this affect him being able to use the Xbox account use

Hi Jennifer, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

If he is receiving subscription-sharing via the family, he will lose access to it.

The Family Organizer can configure it accordingly, so you don't need to remove the account.

    Please, follow these steps:

Open the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device, and then go to Settings.

Select Content restrictions, and then under Apply age filters change the age limit that you want to apply to the member’s games, apps, and other content.

Any content that has a higher rating than the selected restriction needs an organizer’s approval.

Other users cannot play game until owner logs in

    Hi Ivan Horvat1,

    Thanks for the reply.

To answer your question, what I mean is that you are the only one that should tick the Home Xbox option.

I understand it this - first, remove all profiles, then install mine with licence and then 2 kids' profiles. Right?

Yes, this sequence is correct. Please ensure you install the games on your profile before adding your kid's profile.

If you wish not to allow your kids to play few games you installed in your profile, try to remove their access to games through Family apps: Microsoft Family Safety app (or you may check Xbox family settings app).

    1. Open the Microsoft Family Safety app.
    2. Find your family member and tap the Content filters card.
    3. Tap Apps and games.
    4. Tap the Apps and games bar and designate the age limit for content they will have permission to access.
    5. Tap the back arrow button in the top left corner of the screen to automatically update your family member’s content age limit settings.
Note: If you approve a request for your family member to download an app or game above their age limit, it will appear under ALLOWED APPS. If you block an app or game, it will appear under BLOCKED APPS.
