family restrictions not turning off

My answer in this thread with the same question may help. I’ve gone through all the steps in detail to adjust privacy settings for both adult and child accounts, and have explained the redirect loop between the privacy settings and support page, as well as how to resolve the error.

It’s not because there’s an error with the website or a problem with your account. Child accounts don’t have the option to manage privacy settings/online preferences and restrictions.

Simply put, if you’re on a child account (under 18 in most countries) or in a family as a child, then you won’t be able to access the privacy settings page. An adult from the same Microsoft family would need to adjust your privacy settings in family settings for you. If you’re on a child account but not in a family, then you’ll need to join one to be able to do this.

when i click on the link you posted it sends me to this website





and when i click on the privacy and online safety link to change the settings it just brings me back to this page

and i did try downloading the family app and setting it up but that didnt seem to work unless i didnt set it up right

Please check http://account.xbox.com/settings and see if things like User created content is allowed or not, this needs to be enabled. Also check if other settings that could prevent this are enabled or disabled.

Side note: If your account is a Child account, the Parental account needs to login to that link in order to change the settings for the child account.

when i follow the instructions on the page for changing the settings online it brings me back to the same page that puts me in a loop

im not sure if im just doing something wrong or if its the website itself but nothing seems to be working
