Family permissions

Can someone help me please lol. I made my xbox account several years ago when I was too young to have an adult account. Now I am older and I have long since forgotten the fake account that I made for my dad so that I could have an xbox account. Now my account is restricted when I try to download any games for my computer through game pass. Can someone help me fix it?

Hi LoganThurmond, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

if you're already an adult you should be able to leave the family group by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/family.

If you're still a minor, I'm afraid that you will be needing to have access to the adult/organizer account to make changes.

Also, please try to sign out and sign back in on your Xbox App then try to install an Xbox Game Pass game again.

Hello JREYES94! As Mister Darcy verified, your account will not be removed from the Gold Family pack subscription for promoting to adult. You will still be a family member, you will just have added permissions! Make sure to check those permissions though,
as the parent of the family pack will still be able to add permissions to the account in question!

The PC should be under the family settings devices list and permission given through the family settings.

Sounds like your account is part of a family group and it has been blocked by an adult of this group. You will need to ask their permission.

Permissions can easily be changed using the new Xbox family app.

If you are part of a Family account, the permissions for content are on the Microsoft website in the Family section and set for each individual user.
