Family members issue

I recently purchased £20 microsoft points for my daughters xbox one (she loves minecraft and wanted some map packs etc). I input the code and its was accepted, great. Now the problem. Her account was set up as a childs account. I have an xbox one set up
as an adult but ive tried adding her and it wont allow me to. I cant sign in to her outlook to accept the invite (forgot password) and no matter how many times i try to recover it wont allow me to. Neither the adult nor child account have bought xboxlive.
As i understand it, i cant restore to factory settings, make a new adult account on her xbox without losing the gamerpoints (they havent been used). How can i change her settings without adding her to family to ensure she doesnt lose the points that were bought
for her birthday? TIA

is her Outlook account the same email address as her Xbox account?

Thankyou for the reply ArminitorX Heres where i am at now (sorry if i sound stupid with all this). Basically ive managed to get into my daughters account and change her password so i can always get in there now, good news lol. The bad news now is that
when setting up her xbox account i must’ve used a different email address (@yahoo) to try to add her to the family. Ive managed to send her another invite my xbox to join family but that address is @outlook. So when i sign into daughters account the invite
is there (pending) but when i click on it it says she has to leave the family she is currently at before joining my invite 🤦&#55356;�‍♂️ I cant find that option anywhere on her account so i suppose my question now is ‘how can i get her account to leave the family

First of all:

Do everything you can to recover your daughter's account password! Without the password it's impossible to re-download her account to a new console if the console should break, and she WILL lose everything (game progress, purchased games etc.).

So use the instructions for a forgotten Microsoft Account Password to recover her password.

Do not continue until you have successfully recovered her account.

Then add her to the family and you can then transfer funds to her account.

I don't know if that works, but can you sign in with your daughters yahoo account on https://account.microsoft.com/family and review the family members if their email accounts are shown there?

If that fails, you might have to contact the official Xbox support for more help. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the support hotline is not fully staffed. So might have trouble getting to the support.

Try going to https://support.xbox.com/contact-us, and try various topic options (your best bet would be "Subscription and Billing"), and try different options there until you reach a combination where it gives you the option to contact chat support or request
a callback.

Had the same issue - he is family member so went onto PC managed family members and bought from there - worked.
