Family Gold Plan Question

Quick question....

My family signed up for the Family Gold accounts a couple of years back, and I understand that they're doing away with family accounts for the 360 now (insert rant here).

However, since I don't feel the need to pay $60 for each member of the family to play online, I'm just wondering if I need to remove everyone from the family account before it expires - or will they all be removed automatically - or will they just be changed
to regular gold accounts (thus charging me $60 for each of the four accounts).

Xbox Live gold Family Membership Question.

I undestand that since I didn't turn off the auto renewel that i'll be grandfathered into the family plan, BUT it renews in Nov and i've heard there will be changes to the current xbox live gold. Now right now I pay 99.99/yr for the family gold. I've
been reading that the basic 59.99/yr plan will share it's gold membership with family members...My question is will my 99.99/yr family plan i'm paying for now be dropped to 59.99/yr?

Unfortunately the Family Plan has been discontinued. I've included a link for the

Family Plan Conversion FAQ explaining the transition. At this time, there is no plan's for families on the Xbox 360 console. With the Xbox One console, a new plan was introduced called Home Gold where only 1 account needs to have gold for the entire family
to enjoy the gold benefits. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

of course the follow up question is: Can an existing, recent gold membership be upgraded to the family plan?

For $99 this would have been the solution. The education ramp up for these devices is killer. Thank you for the referral to the family plan.

Yes, absolutely, you get full credit for time on your account when upgrading.

Also, if any other GOLD subscriber joins the Family Plan, the time they have on their subscription extends the entire Family Plan subscription using the formula (time in months / 2) Rounded Up. So, if Cousin Egbert gets added
in and has three months of Gold, then RND(3/2) = 2 months added to everyone on the family pack.
Cousin Egbert does not have to live with you, either.
