Discus and support Family Accounts & Friends List in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; I have a normal adult account, with 2 child accounts in my 'xbox family', 1 is on teen and 1 is on child settings.     I have a normal adult account, with 2 child accounts in my 'xbox family', 1 is on teen and 1 is on child settings. I'm trying to play fortnite online with the teen, however they cannot find my account when looking for friends. When they type in my id it
    says user not found. I know the friend system works for us independently as we have both added various people. Why can he not add me?

    Beginner/Nub questions about Xbox Live...

    1. Gamertags, your Gamerscore and your purchases tied to your account all stay forever, even if you let your Gold run out.
    2. I believe there is a program that gives you some sort of family discount for more than one Gold subscription associated with the same console or card, not sure on the details.
    3. If you have an Xbox One, Gold is shared on the entire console. Not only your family, but your friends who come over and play on their own account can all reap Gold benefits with just a single paid account.

    Question about xbox and W-Microsoft10

    It was my understanding that all the users (family members using an XBO can share a Gold Account). So, eventually, your friend could play on the XBO with his MS account (if you have gold) and you could play on the PC.

    What do you mean "add herself/himself" as a friend?

    Usually, friends are "mutual", which means one can request to be a friend, and only if your kid allows that person in their friend list, they become friends.

    You as a parent can have your child's account added to your adult account via
    https://account.microsoft.com/family     and set your child's account up so you will have to approve friend requests as a parent.

    Okay, let me see if I got this right.

    I buy a game say Bioshock. I have 10 friends/family on my list. I play the game, the rest of my friends/family play the game over the next 2 months or so, I then gift/give the game to another friend not on my list, he has 10 friends/family on his list...
    they all play the game over the next 2 months or so, he sells the game to Gamestop. Gamestop then resells it used for say $25, and a small portion goes to the publisher. This guy has 10 friends/family on his list, they all play the game over the next 2+
    months, he then resells he gifts it... we will stop right there for this example

    Okay, now off of this one game and one used game sale you get his, let's say $85 retail total. We have given access electronically to this number of people:

    1st Sale: (1) Original buyer and people in his house + (10) other friends/family on list and in their houses

    Gift: (1) Original Person receiving the gift and the people in his house + (10) other friend/family on list and in their houses

    2nd Sale: (1) Original Person bought used game and people in his house + (10) other friends/family on list and in their houses

    2nd Gift: (1) 2nd Person to receive a gift and the people in his house + (10) other friends/family on list and in their houses

    Okay, now 44 XBL accounts over a course of 6 months have access to the game for $85 plus anyone else sharing their account in the same household, this is unknown.

    And MS is going to do this free of charge?

    are they on each others friends list too, but also check the xbox family security sections for each account to make sure chat is not blocked in some way.

    No worries Here are the steps to game sharing i hope this helps you.

    1. Acquire your friend’s/family member’s account information.
    2. Add the new account to your Xbox One.
    3. Set your Xbox One as “Home Console”.
    4. Download games
