Family account trouble

    My son has an account on our xbox when we try to log him in it excepts the password but his profile doesnt sign in and show him as on any ideas?

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
    Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
    Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    Hey Xbox Fan,

    Thank you for reaching out. We understand your son's account is not being signed even though his login password is being accepted. Make sure your console is online by running a

    connection test.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select Network.
    5. Select Network settings. Any known outages will appear in the middle of the screen.
    6. On the right side of the Network settings screen, select
      Test multiplayer connection      .

    Once you have confirmed everything is setup properly, try
    removing and re-adding     his account. Once it has been downloaded, test it out. Let us know how it goes! :D

    Profiles do not have access to Xbox Live

    Go to settings/accounts/remove accounts. Remove the profile that is having trouble accessing Live.

    The go to setting/account/family/add to family.

    You're welcome and I apologize for the trouble. Is his account added as a member of your family group? To check sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family. Make sure that he is added as a member for this to work.
