I am a former XBOX One player, so I have a microsoft account that's been dormant for years. Just got an XBOX Series X and I have 3 kids. I signed into my microsoft account, subscribed to Game Pass, and microsoft XBOX automatically asked me if i want my kids' accounts on the xbox. Problem is - I don't really know all the details of the 3 accounts.

Adding to the complications, my 11 year old has 2 accounts. Probably because he played minecraft for a while, forgot his password, and I had no way to recover it. But now both of his microsoft accounts show up as linked to me.

How do I clean this all up and make sure I'm setting this up properly?

You must verify who you are on the accounts

That is a good security policy

Every company has strict rules under which you must meet to make changes to an account

Those rules are enforced by privacy laws it would be scary if a person can call support and cancel my membership or charge 100dollars without meeting requirements

The only other way is to refer to the complete credit card number they previously had on their account or at least the last four digits which is possible since you need a creditcard for psu

When you purchase Gold Family, you must purchase it from the 'parent account'. This account will have full permissions and full control over what happens with the Gold Family Pack and the settings. So, it would be up to you if
you let your son play on your account still. But, to make accounts for them with full use of the family settings you will have to make an account for each of them and attach them to the Gold Family Plan. If you have anymore questions you can refer to this

Your best bet is to have him keep playing on the same profile and create a different one for the parent account.

Who's name that is on it is not really important, unless calling in to support and needing to verify the account.

If it is your email on the account, you can change the email, freeing yours up. However, there is a 30 day wait period before you can use that email on a different account.

If you create secondary accounts that do not already have an email attached to them, make sure to notate the random gamertag. The system will assign the email of *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** to that account... which can be handy info in the future.

Hi, the answer is Yes, If your son will have a new account he has to start over for the games he is playing, savegames etc can't be transferred from one account to an other account

What you need to do is a WLID Change.

Changing xyz to new kid email, then sign up for an account for the new GT.

But then he would be the parent and you the child, and since the Family plan was already purchased you can't change that, b/c it is Linked to the GT and not the email.
