Family account blocked

Hello

Last night I created a family account for my son and it worked great

This morning the account was blocked with no email or notification from xbox

I have spent all morning trying to resolve this issue literally hours online with no success I finally got thru to a sport agent which said that his unable to handle the matter

Please advise why the account was blocked as we did not violate any agreement and how do I recover the account I've been a xbox subscriber for many years and I must say that you support system is very bad, you have many clients complaining that the code verification service fails

Please assist me as I really need this account up and running asap

Is the region block on the family account? as in, the family would need to be in the same country?

I'm not in a family group. My account is blocked. When I log in, I can’t do it, it says “Your account is blocked” then nothing. I can’t go to do anything on the site you suggested.

Hi there,

it's advised that a child will have it's own account with the details and age that matches, since that will result in a parent account being needed which can control what the child account can and can not do.

By doing that you will also be able to create a family, with that family you'll be able to control several things. See this link for information regarding a family:

If you do want to go for it, then the only downside is his game progress and unlocked achievements etc, these can not be transferred to a different account. (There are a couple exceptions like Fortnite)

You can set your account to be limited to Child/Teen content but you can't block that from being changed, you can set up a passkey to block it from being changed, but that will not be as secure as using their own account

I would start off first by logging into the account you are trying to add to the family on account.live.com. See if it mentions anything about an account block. If so, follow the steps to remove the block. If not, go ahead and change the password for
that account just to be sure. Then I would try again to add the account on the console.

Is your account a child account? If so, then parental controls may have blocked it and the parent (organiser) will need to unlock

If it was a child account but you are now an adult but sill within the family account, then you either need the organiser (parent) to unlock purchases or leave the family account

If neither of those are true, then I'm not sure
