False advertisement???? 40% off 12-month renewal does not apply???

I tried to get this promotion today and spoke to multiple customer representatives and one supervisor and they didn't know a hoot about anything. All I know is that this popped up on my XBox dashboard today. I figured, since my subscription is ending
in 3 weeks, they are trying to get me to renew. So, I figured it was a good deal and tried to obtain this promotion. However, when I tried to purchase it, it was listed as the full price ($59.99). This is absolutely underhanded by XBox and I should be compensated
for this.

Thank you for contacting Forum support.

For any subscription promotions you will have to make sure you do not have an active subscription.

If there is an active sub, then you will not be able to get the current promotion unless the subscription is removed or ends.

(If you do not have an active sub, then you should be able to activate it)

If you click on the Promotion it should carry the Terms and Conditions that state that information.

I had this problem before with a promotion that put on facebook, said they didn't know anything about it (buy 3 months get 3 months free). It was a long process, but all support had me do was show them proof (about 4 times) and they were able to credit me
the other 3 months to my account.

This legitimately says "40% off 12-month renewel". Mine expires in 8 days. Mine also only gives the full 59.99 for 12 months price. So does this mean I have to wait for my current subscription to expire before I can renew at the 40% off price? How much
you want to bet the offer ends before I can renew?

I've seen this happen when the ad pops up before the offer has gone live, I'd wait until tomorrow and try again.
