    Fallout Shelter Save Not Syncing to Cloud


    Hi there,

    I have been playing fallout shelter for the past few months on Windows 10 and recently whenever I open the game I get a message saying that "We can't sync your data with the cloud right now" and the options to play offline and try again. Trying again never
    works. I have checked my connection to XBL and it is fine, I have restarted my PC, resynched my system clock.

    I have also opened the game on Xbox One which works fine with the cloud sync although my achievement progress isn't working either (I assume the issues are linked)

    I was wondering if I could get anny assistance in resolving these issues,

    Syncing data for Fallout Shelter

    So I got it to work finally, here’s what I had to do:

    1. Download Fallout Shelter onto my Windows Laptop

    2. Start the game and save over the downloaded sync file

    3. Shut down my laptop

    4. Turn on my Xbox One

    5. Delete my local save file for Fallout Shelter on my Xbox One

    6. Restart my Xbox One

    7. Launch Fallout Shelter on my Xbox One

    8. After being prompted, select “Sync my latest data.”

    9. Game works.

    Yes , the game data is saved on the cloud and the season pass you purchase is linked to your account. When you log in to the new xbox box and launch fallout it will sync the save data.

    The only thing that I can think of is that the game is trying to sync saves to the cloud. Do you have a lot of save files? To put it into perspective, it took me an hour and a half to sync my Fallout 4 when moving to a new Xbox One.
