Fallout new Vegas standard disc not installing

hi I'm trying to install fallout new Vegas the standard disc version and it just comes up with a error (0x80820002) I've power cycled the consol a few times still didnt work

the disc works fine on my xbox 360 any ideas on what I can do .

Really sorry to hear you're having trouble installing Fallout New Vegas. To start out, do you have any other Backward Compatible games on disc you can try to see if you're running into the same error?

Here's my solution if you haven't yet.

-Remove Fallout New Vegas disc from Xbox 360 tray

-Place Fallout 3 disc in Xbox 360 tray

-Success

Usually this means that the disc is dirty or damaged and the console is unable to read it. Let's have you try this guide and see if it helps out.

Error 0x80820002 occurs when playing a disc in your Xbox One console.

 

Thanks for the reply . I tried the guide but it didn't work . The disc doesn't have any marks on it and I loaded it on my Xbox 360 a few times and it loaded first time.

 

I am having this same exact problem, and have tried power cycling my One and it does in fact work fine in my 360. UPC 0 9315512902 3 for the game.

 

I'm also having the same problem with my disc copy of New Vegas

Hi Mister Maka - yes I have several disc based backwards compatible games that have all worked fine - the most recent one to be installed was Xcom Enemy Within

Thanks for the insight. Would you be able to try this disc on another Xbox One console to see if it's able to be played there?

Does the disc appear to have any scratches or smudges on the bottom?

 

Hi Mister Mascot . Unfortunately my friends have ps4s .

I've tried my other installed backwards compatible disc games and they also have the same error now but my digital games work fine . The discs look fine hopefully it's not the console

 

Gotta say I'm disappointed that there's been no further response in a week now :-(

Sorry to hear about the troubles with the Xbox 360 discs. I'm interested to test a different solution, could you try creating a free Xbox Live account, sign that account into your Xbox One console, and then try loading an Xbox 360 disc while
only that profile is signed in? So far this is leading towards a possible Xbox One repair, but we definitely want to exhaust possible solutions before reaching that point.

I tried but same problem .

If my xb1 needs fixed I proberly won't as I'll be buying a Scorpio or a slim and my xb1 loads xb1 games fine

so I'll just nurse it along if it gets to that.
