Fallout New Vegas seems to be a mess

Has anyone noticed terrible frame rates, delays in the game when selecting dialog or items. Then I went back later to continue my game and get the message that the DLC is no longer available and that the items will no longer be available in game. I checked
my drive and sure enough all the DLC is there and when I select the menu option in game for Downloadable Content it all shows as installed.

Fallout 3 is far superior, though the improvements made in New Vegas do make it hard to play Fallout 3 again. New Vegas would be great as well but it's more linear, it's glitchier and less stable and all-in-all it just isn't of the same quality.

Oblivion might seem a little bland by comparison but Fallout 3 and New Vegas could be worth a shot.

 

That's odd, it seems for me that Fallout: New Vegas runs considerably better on my Xbox One than it did on my Xbox 360; no frame stutters at all have been noticed, and a lot of bugs I ran in to on my 360 seem missing in some cases too. Even then, load times
are comparable to my PC version of the game; which are essentially instantaneous. No dialogue delays or even menu delays, even in really taxing areas.

But, I AM running the game off of an External HDD as opposed to the internal storage.

As for the DLC if you're running the Ultimate Edition of the game, run it off of Disc 2 and it will fix the issue; if you're all digital, first time I've heard of the problem.

 

I too am running of an external HDD. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but when I did that all of the DLC is no longer ready to install. When I originally installed the game all DLC was in ready to install once the game was installed. I had purchased
the DLC digitally on the marketplace when it had gone on sale a long while ago. When I go to the store and pull up the DLC individually to re-download, it now says "see price" and when I click on it, it is asking me to repurchase the content.

 

All 360 games right now, mate. Not reading the DLC-stuck because can't load any save files. Latest xbox update broke it.

In regards to the frame rate problems, have you also tried moving the game to the internal hard drive to see if that had any effect? You will also want to fill out the
Backward Compatible Survey to let the teams know about the problems you're seeing.
