Fallout 4 (Xbox One) - bonus preorder code for Fallout 3

I pre-ordered Fallout 4 for my Xbox one back in early October. I received a code for Fallout 3 in a message via my xbox one, however by the time that backward compatibility was made available, my system had auto deleted the message along with the code.
Is there any way to get a new code or retrieve old messages?

Fallout New Vegas Code

Fallout 3 was the preorder bonus for Fallout 4. If you purchased it at a retailer that offered New Vegas, you would need to contact them for the code.

Fallout 4 Preorder Bonus

Hello!

I purchased Fallout 4 preorder on 7/23; the webpage notes that ""For a limited time, pre-order Fallout 4 for Xbox One and receive Fallout 3 on Xbox 360. The code for Fallout 3 will be delivered to your Xbox message center in 7-10 days."

I have not received the Fallout 3 code, to my knowledge.

How is this rectified?

Fallout 3 was the preorder bonus for Fallout 4. If you purchased it at a retailer that offered New Vegas, you would need to contact them for the code.

Fallout 3 is not on backwards compatible list. Which is *** stupid since Microsoft is offering it as a bonus with preorder of fallout 4 through Xbox store
