fallout 4 not installing on xbox one S

okay so, super frustrated here. i absolutely love fallout 4. xbox or anything, i love it. trying to install it on my new xbox is an absolute pain bc it feels like i’ve tried everything to get no where and am getting rlly upset fr

background, i have the disc and continue to try to install it using different methods, but it will get stuck at different percents and completely stop installing and start to “installation stopped” every two minutes! i’ve restarted my xbox a dozen times, restarted my router, CHANGED MY LOCATION ON MY XBOX, went offline, cleared local game data, all of it. almost LITERALLY everything. when i get on smth, i’ll be pissed gettin’ kicked off. 26-27%. every single time now.

glitches in the menu videos, now i know the problem, at least half of it, is it installing the game and updating the game at the same time. i’ll even stop it from updating and decline it but IT DOESNT MATTER- it does it on its own.

and the worst of it all eh? nothing else downloads now, and yes, on top of that, from all my doings of location and resetting of my xbox, the other disc games- wait for it, UNF*CKING DOWNLOADED? like randomly three of them.

i’m just upset. i don’t care about any of them but fallout rn lol

also, other games i have just brought home and tried to download those too, have not worked and i believe were doing the same thing as fallout 4. it said “installation stopped” for those as well.

please help me fix this. it’s important my xbox isn’t broken forever lol

It took 29 mins for my X1 S to perform its setup and update out of box. I installed Fallout 4, RDR , Doom, COD 3, Netflix, You tube all at the same timed (queued) and had Fallout 4 installed in about 25 mins.....

I have had the same problem but with Fallout 4. I have the Xbox One S

i checked and cleaned fallout 4 already (even a second time for good luck) and it didn’t help my issue. i believe it might be the xbox or other reasons i mentioned…

but now i have done it again and a couple of the other video games too and currently fallout is at 31%. it asked to update and i accepted it, defeated, and it’s been slowly getting higher. 32% is one of the ones it starts it on.

specially once, at 26.9%, i witnessed the game completely stop installing like every single other time (around that percent). and then the “installation stopped” started. i really don’t know what else to do.

edit:

it’s stuck again. in game, 32% (ready to start- stuck on main menu videos) on console, 41.2%. completely stuck for the last hour at least. i recleaned it too

We can confirm that your Xbox is able to read your discs. However, how old are your discs? Could it be possible that they maybe a little worn out or damaged hence the installation issues. You can try check on how to clean your discs or get them cleaned. Then try them again.
