    Fallout 4 Freezes at Title Screen


    Recently my Fallout 4 game has hit a problem with loading.

    Upon reaching the Fallout 4 main screen , just after pressing start to get to the opening options it will suddenly freeze. It also gives off a rough beeping/buzzing sound as it freezes up right there with the opening options before it boots me back to the Xbox
    One Dashboard.

    I have tried closing out of the game, ejecting the disc, doing a hard reset (pressing power button for 10 seconds to power down) and even unplugging the system for a matter of 10 minutes. This had no effect. Still freezes up upon being
    loaded and pressing start at the main Fallout 4 screen. Thought it might be the disc itself, but it is brand new and in good shape. So tried uninstalling and then reinstalling (did this 3 times) and not once did this work either.

    I even tried going offline to see if it might allow me to load up my Fallout 4 so I can play it again. Sadly, same result. Freezes up right after pressing start at the opening screen of Fallout 4 before booting me back to the Xbox One dashboard. As for my saves
    they are on the hard-drive, not on cloud, if that makes any difference.

    Can someone please help me fix this?

    Freezing is common in Bethesda games unfortunately, especially in Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. Nothing you can do about in really, as Indy said a SSD speeds things up and reduces the freezes, but doesn't eliminate them completely.

    I can not play xboxone FALLOUT 4 even once.

    please support.

    I purchased the download version of FALLOUT 4, but I can not play it once.

    Always freeze on the title screen and return to the XBOX menu.

    I have XBOXONEX, but I have never frozen with software other than FALLOUT 4.

    I downloaded it again and again, but the result is the same.

    So how do you feel that XBOXONEX is not a problem?

    It is very disappointing.

    A small update to my situation.

    have contacting support and went through many trouble shooting tactics.

    1) Deleting profile and then re-uploading it to my console

    - Did not work

    2) Deleting all Blu-Ray Persistent Storage

    - Did not work

    3) Uninstalling disc and purchasing game digitally

    - Did not work

    The only option left I have been told is to attempt contacting Bethesda directly by phone to see if the problem can be isolated and fixed. I will attempt reaching their office when it is open. Already feel out of my depth here, praying I find a solution...
    But hopefully others that hit this problem might see this and have something to go by.

    If any others have already faced this situation and prevailed with a solution. I would be grateful to hear it.

    Thanks for the extra info.
    If you have the game installed on a external hard drive, please try moving it to the internal storage.
    Disconnect all the USB accessories and try again

    If maybe that doesn’t work, can you try opening the game with a different profile / account in your console?

    That can help us to isolate the problem a bit more

    Additional information is needed, please tell me:

    Is this happening on Xbox or PC?
    If it’s on Xbox, what console do you have?
    If it’s on PC, are you using Windows 10 or 11?

    In any case, is this happening only with Fallout 4?
    And tell me briefly what did you tried so far to fix this (besides reinstalling the game)
    This is to avoid giving you the same troubleshooting steps or tell you how to proceed

    That’s really odd…
    Just to confirm, are you not using an insider build / beta OS in your console. Right?

    If that’s not the case, please try each of the next solutions:

    A. Can be a bit odd but
    go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

    Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.
    When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

    Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.
    If that doesn’t work use 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary)

    B. Clear your MAC address
    Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address
    Select Clear, restart your console and give it a new try

    C. Try using a completely different Wi-Fi network
    For this purpose you can share mobile data via Wi-Fi hotspot and try in that way

    Thank you, I can advise you two more things:

    A. Do a factory reset for your console but keeping games and apps
    For this go to settings > system > console info > reset and then select keep my games and apps

    A.1 if you don’t mind, select instead remove everything. Make sure to know the email and password for all the accounts added in your console

    B. Perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.
    For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with detailed steps and requirements ):

    **If maybe you’re using an insider build please leave the program first. If not, the offline update is not going to work

    If none of the above worked, the best option is report this problem to both Xbox and Bethesda:
