Fallout 4 audio/video issue(Series S)

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently facing audio/ video issues. But don't worry, please try the following troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

Step 1: Clear Mac address:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Step 2: Close any running games:

To remove download constraints from games or apps being installed, you can either wait for the Xbox to suspend the running game, or you can force games to close by doing the following:

1. On the Home screen, navigate to your most recently run game.
   
2. With the game highlighted, press the Menu button and select Quit.
   

Step 3: Remove your account:

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm then re-add your account.

Step 4: Reset your console:

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

I’m currently experiencing the same issue. I recently bought a new Xbox Series S and unable to play any Disney Plus content. The content plays briefly before the video stops followed shortly by the audio.

I have other streaming apps that have no issues and I have another Xbox Series S that plays Disney Plus with no issues.

While I can appreciate your interest in more mods for Fallout 4, this is really just a community forum and none of the official Microsoft team or Bethesda will see your post. You should try pitching this to them directly.

In any case, to support more mods Fallout 4 would need to be updated to a full Series X|S title. The recent update is a backwards compatibility X|S update, it's not a native Series X|S title.

Only the Series X has extra RAM. The Series S has the same amount as the original Xbox One and the One S. Plus, the PC modding community for Fallout 4 generally have PCs with much higher memory availability than what's available to a console.

Personally, I play the Fallout series like a continuing story. Like some other people, I play video games like the character is me, so in my Fallout realm, I'm the same guy who went through DC in Fallout 3 AND the Mojave in Fallout New Vegas. And I'll be
that same guy in Fallout 4, etc.

So retirement isn't really an issue for my guy, because he just keeps traveling around the post-apocalyptic wasteland from city to city and settling people's hash.

3. ONLY the Xbox-Series X has this issue, No other, including the Series S which is the “little brother” of the Series X
