Fallout 3 waters of life game crash

My father in law, AKA RaucousCarrot0, bought an Xbox one with the fallout 3 & 4 package. He's playing through the digital copy of 3 first, naturally, but cannot progress back into the basement after getting the fuses in the water of life main quest. There's
two doors back down, and both freeze the game and automatically return us to the Xbone home screen. I'm hoping there's an update that can be downloaded to fix the glitch, or that a disk without the error will be sent his way so he can keep playing. He's 150
hours deep (a lot of that is optional obviously) and shouldn't have to go through the bs of buying a copy. We've tried deleting saves, replaying from old saves, etc, so please don't tell me to try those as we've wlready wasted a good 10 hours doing that.

Fallout 3 was a brilliant game, I would rate it as one of the best ever made had it not been for the many bugs and crashes, I'd love to play Fallout 4 providing it was less buggy and did not crash as much as 3 did.

What developers would you like to see make exclusive Xbox One games?

Since this is an in-game issue I think you should contact Bethesda the publisher of the game:

I can't say that's a terrible idea...but seeing as it was a Xbone sale, I don't think they should simply brush it off their shoulder either. I'm not sure how those financial agreements work between hardware and software, but I would think they could help
establish that connection with Bethesda if nothing else. Thanks for the advice though. I'll take it up with them if xbox doesn't act.
