    Fall Update Xbox wont hold a connection


    Ever since the fall update my Xbox One won't get a connection unless I hard boot my router. All other devices on my network (2 Computers, 2 phones, android box, tablet, PS4) work normally. I've been through support and tried all the following to no avail.

    -Factory reset of the console

    -Static IP/port forwarding

    -Google DNS

    -Different Ethernet cable/port on the router

    -Release alternate MAC address

    After hard booting the router I get an IP and it will be fine until I turn off my console for a couple hours.

    Test connection leads to the "Can't connect to DHCP server" error and I receive the IP address of 169.254.x.x

    beta issue redeem code

    You wont be able to use those points until the full update is released sometime this fall. May i also mention you wont be able to get the beta tab back because you have a new console.

    Console freezing and notifications not working.

    Also it wont tell me when someone gets online. Example Usually when you urn your xbox on and sign on it prompts you and tells you how many friends are on, mine wont do that. It shows the loading circle will freeze a bit and then load some more freeze again
    an jumps to the dashboard. Additionallly i technically have the fall update because i was part of the fall beta so could that be causing the issues?

    Xbox will not connect to XBOX.com

    My xbox is up to date. it has the latest update. The problem on occured after recent xbox live dashboard update. Its weird cause sometimes it connects and other times it wont. Every time it wont I run the connection test and it fails to connect to xbox live
    but is connected to the internet. Very frustrating.

    XBOX LIVE CONNECTION PROBLEMS

    A) Seeing as the new update isn't being pushed out until later today, I think that you got an unofficial update......

    B) Even if it is an official update, unless your in the Fall 2011 BETA program, Xbox LIVE wont let you connect until the new update officially goes live later today because your not suppose to have the update yet.

    C) I would wait until the new update goes live later today, and when it does, if you still can not connect, its most likely a corrupted/unofficial update and you will have to contact XBOX Support for further assistance.
