Failing to Update and cannot connect to the internet.

My 6(?) Year-old Xbox 1 S tried to update, then promptly failed. It stopped at 23% twice before the update action was unavailable. Like, I can't even attempt an update anymore. Going to the updates page in the system settings, I get inaccurate information about the failed update with an error code at the bottom.

"Last Update: 5/18/23 2:05 AM"

The last update I tried was not on the 18th, it was on the 20th.

"Latest Status: Update failed (0x8B050084)"

I can't even go to Xbox support, as I am permanently offline. I tried the 10-second sound off. (Holding the power button for 10 seconds) And unplugged it for 5 minutes. Still, nothing changed.

I do not have a computer or anything I can hook it up to, so I can't go through files or something. Sending it to a shop is too expensive, and I am definitely not trying to get it replaced.

Before the update error, I was in the middle of the building in Minecraft and declined the update until I could save my wold. Then I went out and tried to update it, Is it possible that me declining has to do with the error?

3.- Being turned off, keep pressed the Synchronize button (this button is the one we use to link controls) and Eject button (this button is the one we use to remove the discs, in the All digital or Series S edition do the process omitting this button), and without releasing them turn on the console.
Continue pressing both buttons until the console emits two power on sounds, you can release the Sync and Eject buttons after the second power on tone.
The console should power on and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
Select the option to reset your Xbox to factory defaults (you can choose the option to keep your games and applications).

Thank you, Janet, though now I have an entirely different issue. (It's like technology hates me, I swear.)

Whenever I try to set up my console through the app on both my phone and Chromebook- It disconnects the wifi on the device I'm using to set it up, after it hits the "You're all set up!" screen.

I've reset my router, reset my devices, and moved the router closer.

A failure to update a console should have nothing to do with having delayed it. In this case I recommend you to follow these steps:

1.- Disconnect the console for a few minutes from the power.

2.- Try plugging it into a different outlet.

3.- Being turned off, keep pressed the Synchronize button (this button is the one we use to link controls) and Eject button (this button is the one we use to remove the discs, in the All digital or Series S edition do the process omitting this button), and without releasing them turn on the console.

Try to do all this procedure from another wifi network, for example, by sharing mobile data from your mobile to the console.

I am having the same problem. The update began, the XBox reset itself, then I received an"update failed" message and now I cannot get onto Live. When I test my connection I receive exactly the same screen as above... network and internet are both fine,
but I can't connect to Live. I reset my router, to no avail. I also receive a message that Kinect won't operate without the update, which I cannot obtain because I can't connect.
