Failed to update EAC servics when playing Dead by Daylight on PC Xbox.

Thank you for confirming this for me, as I have also run into this issue. I reached out to one of my team members, and they suggested opening a support ticket with their Interactive, the developers of the game. Here is the link. You can submit a ticket by clicking the “submit a ticket” button from the main page. I am having someone further investigate the issue as well. If I get a response while you wait for their support team to get back to you, I will reply in this thread. Also, let me know if the developers were able to assist you.

I tried these four solutions. But this error still happen.

And I noticed similar errors happened in other players‘ DBD gaming because I saw their comments complaining about failed to launch DBD since few days ago .

PS: After this error, I downloaded DBD by steam and it can be played. Then I can launch DBD by Xbox. I didn't realize this connection， I just refunded steam version and unloaded it. And this error just happened again.

I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. You are getting an error surrounding the Easy Anti-cheat software when playing PC Game Pass. I am happy to help and hopefully suggest solutions to fix the issue. I researched this specific error that is specific to Easy Anti-cheat. Here is what I found on their support page. I was also able to replicate the error on my end and that fixed this issue for me, which you encountered. You can also look at the solutions titled EAC error codes 1-4. Let me know if this fixed the problem.

I emailed the folks at dead by daylight and they had me uninstall/reinstall the game, didn't work, reinstall EAC, didn't work, windows updates all up to date, didnt work, repair, reset, etc, still broken after 5.1.1 update, ever other update of this game breaks EAC.. even tried in windows 11 USELESS Still.
