    Failed to sync data - All FM5 progress appears to be lost


    Today I popped in FM5 and attempt to start the game and the "syncing data" screen came up. I left it alone to do it's thing, a few minutes later it said it failed. I tried to start the game and it pretended I have never played FM5 before. I force closed
    the game, and restarted forza. This time it asked if I wanted to play offline while using data store on my hard drive. I said yes, since I had no intention of playing online, and it still pretended I had never played the game, putting me through the opening
    credits and starting race.

    I uninstalled the game and all game data from my X1. Did a hard console reset, I unplugged my modem/wifi router and let them rest for several minutes before restarting just to make sure my internet connection was solid, which it almost always says NAT Open.
    I think in 5 years living in the same place, it's been moderate less than ten times.

    I reinstalled fm5 and started the game. It asked to sync data from the cloud, I said yes. And it kept failing at odd percentages. I attempted this for over an hour and finally threw in the towel. Did I just lose all my game data for FM5? Some help from Tech
    Support would be great. It would also be nice if you could actually contact T10 about this.

    Don't worry about it. The system is working fine. Just keep playing and the system will continue to collect data and update your drivatar.

    .

    You can check the sync progress in FM5 under the My Profile tile on the Drivatar menu.

    I went to sync from my 500gb to my new 1tb consol dark souls 2... 100+ hours..

    failed to sync

    8083201d

    now I cant even sync the data back to a 500gb ...

    my game is lost!

    It seems to be a common problem which they are unable to fix.

    The most they will do is maybe re-gift your lost cars and credits, but good luck trying to get a response from them.

    Worst customer support I've seen in awhile.

    During a patch or cloud issue or what ever support told me today 1/29/2015 was absolutely insulting. The bottom line was I was told I was out of luck and too bad there was nothing to be done to get my information back. So I finished all Championship races,
    finished Storm Island, and half way though Forza2 but decided on giving my console away and only blame myself since it is XBOX. I am more mad at myself for not realize the company I was dealing with. They will take but never return. It is a simple cloud issue.
    If you can upload it is a simple download and reset my console but they said outright NO!....and then laughed..........bad support........there is done

    BTW should understand the cloud service is XBOX not Turn10......support is just pointing fingers and being lazy since a download is simple as pushing a button............
