    Windows phone 8 xbox video cannot download purchased movies

    I still can't download my movies. If you Google"failed to acquire license for download" you will find that lots of people have this issue

    Windows phone 8 xbox video cannot download purchased movies

    When I tried to press download button, it said "Download failed. Failed to acquire license for download". I restarted the app, and the phone, or use "restore purchase" option, but none of these worked.

    Anyone has any hints? Thanks in advance.

    Hi there jrewing! I'm guessing that the subject of your thread is also the error message that you see when you try to download the movies? Let's get some more info on this situation and see about sorting it out. Please come on back with the following:

    • What movies have you tried to download on your phone?
    • Have they been downloaded to any other devices previous to your attempts on the phone?
    • Are you able to stream the content without errors?
    • Is there enough free storage space on your phone to store the video file?

    I have been at this issue for weeks. I have gone through the questions you ask several times on other threads. I did The support chst and they said they would escalate it, and I received an email saying they were looking into it.

    I received an update to the os and the video app, but the issue is still the same.
