    Failed Purchases and Microsoft Refuses Refund?


    Microsoft, a multibillion dollar global corporation, refuses to refund my 7 year old over a $35 dollar failed vbucks purchase. After hours on the phone, chat and emails I'm shocked at the scam being run by these technology firms for the sole purpose of ripping off children. Microsoft says call Epic Games and Epic Games says the Xbox account doesn't exist - its the others fault scam - and when you wait for a supervisor for an hour the phone gets answered then disconnected immediately by so called Microsoft Support.

    Have you made a purchase from XBOX to have the secondary party such as Epic Games not provide the service or product (such as vbucks) only to have Microsoft refuse to correct the issue? If so, please comment below. How did you get refunded? I'm shocked how horrible and anti consumer the agents operating the CS systems at Microsoft are - the time alone trying to get the refund is more than the original $34.00 purchase amount.

    Yep. My daughter purchased Minecraft and the payment was processed by my bank for £24.99 but Microsoft are saying they have not received the money. I have contacted the bank who have given me the reference and auth numbers but Microsoft will not accept these. The MS staff wont even take the numbers or refer to their billing team. I am going to raise this on Social Media as they have been incredibly unhelpful! I am going through a claim via my bank but this takes a long time. Really poor customer support with no way past their unhelpful front line staff

    You are absolutely correct. I purchased the third party addon Fly Vegas by FlyTampa on the Marketplace through Steam yesterday. The transaction was made by Steam, but failed through Microsoft. I requested a refund from Valve and they refused. What is my recourse with Microsoft?

    That's theft.

    I have been told to reply to a confirmation email that states my request for a refund has been denied because no one on the phone can help with refunds. I have not received this email. Only the email stating my refund request has been processed. Nothing more in my spam folders either so I am not sure what more to do other than report the charge.
