    Can you post some more info?

    Are you seeing some kind of error message, or are you just not getting an image on your TV from the console? What troubleshooting steps have you tried already?

    The error that was happening during the Offline Factory Reset through USB is: E101 00000504 8B050041.

    After 1% it was returning to "Something Went Wrong".

    Does this sound mean my hard drive failed?

    No the Xbox hasn't been knocked at all. I believe it was trying to download an xbox update (like a dashboard update or something) then the errors started popping up and the hard drive made the screeching noise. Tried to factory reset but then the whole Xbox froze like it couldn't update/download things on the hard drive itself.
