Fable 3 isn't accessible due to DLC being uninstalled, can't even start a new game.

Recently I've been playing one of my favorite games with the new backwards compatibility, that being Fable 3. My friend had also gotten the game as we both used to play it a lot when had first come out. Since he didn't have the DLC that I had (All of the
DLC I have is free, Yule Hat, Free Weapons, dog breed potions) I uninstalled them. When I went back to my game I was stopped by a 360 notfication window that I needed to download the DLC required for the saves.

I had already taken up all the saves because I was experimenting with the game. Sadly, I failed to realize that I could not delete the saves in-game. When I tried to redownload the DLC needed, the Yule Hat DLC was not appearing in the Manage Game area (where
you can see what DLC is owned for that game) The only ones apparent are Free Weapons, Dog Breed, and somehow Traitors Keep, which I've never even downloaded in the first place.

Since the Yule Hat DLC is what I need, I decided to find it in the Xbox store, where I found out you can only download add-ons through a bundle that doesn't even exsist. (That includes all the add-ons Fable 3 has) So, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled
only to realize that the saves had not been deleted, instead, the pesky Cloud Save feature kept them around.

This is where I also found out that the saves for backwards compatibility games such as Fable 3 do not share the function to delete hard drive and cloud saves like Xbox One games. Instead they have some feature called 'Reserved Space', when I try to delete
it just takes it away temporarily until the game is started back up.

So, the question I have is this. How can I completely remove and delete the cloud saves on backwards compatible games, such as Fable 3, so that I can play it without being stopped by a 'Required DLC' notification? If I could just DELETE the saves then I
could play, but I can't even do that. So now I have a game on my console not playable AT ALL.

Any help would be great.

So I can't even use the download of a friend? Even if I have the rights for the game myself?

I didn't know that. I noticed that downloading and buying DLC isn't a problem, so I really don't know why Fable 3 IS.

 

Can't Play Any Games other than borderlands & L4D2.

Still Can't play Gears 3. I have tried a new profile, I have tried no DLC. I downloaded it straight to my flash drive, it still will not work. Also I tried downloading Fable 3 to finish some side missions and DLC I haven't gotten to yet. and I can't play
Fable 3 Either. "Game could not start. Please redownload and try again." Well I'm done with trying to download and even went over my internet limit of 150GB by downloading all these games and demos just to play my game. Sadly I just don't think its worth

Sorry to hear about the issue! Unfortunately not all downloadable content is compatible with the Backward Compatibility feature. Since you are unable to delete your save from the Xbox One console, have you tried deleted the save from your Xbox 360 console?

 

I am having this problem with the free yule hat.... so is there not a way that you can delete the yule hat from you game? I don't understand why they wouldn't make free content backwards compatible?

 

So, If not all of the DLC content is compatible, could a Game Not Load Due to that?

 

Select Fable III from games & apps, then press the menu (start) button and select "Manage game". Install “Dog Breed Set” for “Free Yule Hat” and “Traitor’s Keep Quest Pack” for “Free Soldier Outfit”. They show up under the wrong name, but try not to worry
about it.

You can delete cloud saves by launching any 360 title and pressing menu + view (start + select). This will bring up the 360 guide, from which you should select "Manage Storage". From there you can directly manage 360 storage as you would from the old 360
dashboard, allowing you to delete individual saves for specific games.
