Fable 2 and 3 (0x8082000c) error. 2016 please help me.

I picked up a copy of Fable 2 and a copy of Fable 3 from my local shop. I went to install it (as it says both games are backwards compatible) only to get the

(0x8082000c) and then refers me to the website for a list of backwards compatible games. I am wondering if I am misreading the list maybe? Or maybe the list is a misprint?

I did not have this trouble with Halo Reach, so if anyone could offer some insight I would be legitimately grateful for any help you could give. I've tried restarting and completely powering down before putting in the disc and it still gives the same error.

mass effect 2 & 3 error

everytime I try to play mass effect 2 and 3 I get the error code 0x8082000c. is there any fix to this?

 

I fixed it myself. It turns out if you're not connected to the internet it simply won't detect the game as playable.

I had a quick look through the forums to find users having similar issues to yours and I found a user having a very similar issue but with Red Dead Redemption. Another user suggested to just power cycle his console: hold the power button on the console for
about 5-10 seconds until it turns off, unplug the power cable for about 30 seconds, replug the cable and turn the console back on again. Also I'd say make sure that the discs are clean and scratch free.
