External storage ready notification keeps popping up over and over again after latest skip...

Hi Ive recently purchased a 1TB external hd 3.0 and when it is plugged in I get a message on the screen saying external storage ready, then when im installing a game to the external hard drive it keeps saying installation stopped then it comes back up with
external storage ready again this happens every 40 seconds or so could someone please help

Tonight I was on Xbox and achievement notification were not popping again apart from 2 but they all unlocked perfectly fine but also a party notification from my friend did not pop up.

Just notification over all seem to be intermittent from time to time.

I keep forgetting to turn this feature on when I'm playing Telltale games, because the online notifications tend to pop up directly over the dialog options.

I have had this same issue since the last update came out. Unable to play, download, or transfer anything onto/ off of my External or phantom drive, which is pretty much all of my newer games. Anytime i try to do anything with my Phantom drive i get spammed
with "Installation stopped" followed by "Phantom Drive External Storage Ready", over and over again, until i end up having to just cancel my downloads and clear the queue.

I had to do this on mutiple games i had lined up for updates when the issue first started which as you, If you cancel and update, it completly uninstalls the game. So BF5, CoD MW, etc... all ended up getting uninstalled because i had to cancel the updates
just to keep from getting spammed for 20 minutes straight everytime i turned my xbox on. Even with the updates paused, it still spammed with the "Installation Stopped", "Phantom Drive Ready" messages.

I was hoping that once microsoft finally got around to releasing this latest update they would have fixed the issue. Unfortunately after downloading and installing the newest system update my external storage issue is STILL happening. So this makes 2 months
now that i have been unable to play any of my newer games or download others on my xbox.
