External storage issue

I bought an XBOX LICENSED Seagate 8tb game drive hub. I have tried EVERYTHING to get it to work but it only allows me to use it as media storage. I've tried it as ntfs, fat 32, exfat, and everything in between. I bought a better usb3 cable, I've tried
hard resetting too many times to count. I never get the prompt to format it for games and apps, and when I go into storage the only options for it are view contents and set as capture location. It won't even let me set as capture location. What's wrong, how
do I fix it?

In that case I personally would check out that Reddit post, if you're comfortable with the Disk Management tool on your PC. More often than not removing and then creating the disk partition again will help.

Like I already said, its correct format, USB 3, and 8tb. In storage I don't have a format for games and apps option, only "view contents" and "set as capture location" everything you said I already addressed in the original post, my Seagate XBOX LICENSED
harddrive should have 0 issues.

Don’t worry I have transferred the games to the internal storage and it seems to be working

Try performing a hard reset. It will sometimes resolve those issues.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
the results.
