External seagate hard drive light not on but is still getting power

I understand you need help with your storage problem.

It would be best to try getting another cord because that might be the issue. Or try hooking up your hard drive to a PC to see if it still detects it because if does and it cannot be opened, there is a possibility that your hard drive got corrupted and may need to be reformatted.

But just test it out first using another cord just to be sure.

I think you’re good with pretty much any of the Seagate external hard drive’s, powered or not. There was even a gentleman yesterday asking about using the max, which is a 16 TB hard drive. I would LOVE to see why he needs that many TB LOL

I'm going with the 4tb which is now on offer. Never used an external drive with power before.
