    xbox external problems :(

Sorry to hear that you're having these issues. Is the external drive that you purchased a USB 3.0 compatible drive? Which brand is it? Seagate drives are notorious for having issues like this.

As for the 2TB HDD that you have, if it is registering a lower amount of space than it should be perhaps it has been partitioned and is giving the console issues. Connect it to your pc and reformat it so the Xbox can recognize it better.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

This may mean that your external hard drive is corrupted. You may need to reformat the drive.

means the external drive is using more power than it should, the wifi in xbox is on the usb bus and will disconnect if you connect something that draws to much power.

Xbox one wont recognize external hard dirve

Seems to me that it is a problem with either the drive itself or the cable connecting the drive to the console.

If you have another external drive handy, try using the cable from your xbox external drive and see if it can connect to a computer or laptop. If it can, then its more than likely a problem with your external drive.

Alternatively, you could test your external drive on another xbox one console.

    Hard Drive Not Working

you will need to test, or to ensure that the external hd is really with problem or if it is working well and the problem is only on your xbox.

if there is no way to test it, take it directly to a technician who repairs external hard drive.
