External Microphone connection

I am having trouble connecting an external mic to my X box one, it is a Hyperx Quadcast standalone mic any tips or is it not compatable?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that.

Unfortunately, USB microphones are not compatible to use on the Xbox One console. Headsets are the form of communication on the Xbox One console. Hey! Whenever I select the external microphone, it doesn't do anything and stays with the headset microphone.

This is the response "No option for Audio to be played on the speakers with the chat headset connected whilst leaving the chat microphone in use. No way to route the output audio to an external speaker system."

And that it may be included in the future.

You're should to use an external microphone mixer. It's cheap and useful, coz you can change the input level of few microphones without switching your attention to the PC
