External mic on Xbox one x

Hey guys , I was wondering if I could possible connect my hyper x solo cast directly to my Xbox without using a controller . What I mean by directly is like if I take the mic and just take the usb wire and connect it on one of the ports of the Xbox like the 1 on the front where you can plug a usb thing . Please tell me there is a way .will it work ?

Thanks! So there is no way I can do all of this without using a controller ? My headset has a mic already on it but you can turn it off by pull ion the mic lever up . The mic hyper x solo cast has a usb connection so you can only connect using a usb port . So you have to use a controller ?

Regarding your explanation, In order to set this up, you will need a specific setup. The Mic you use needs to have an AUX port somewhere on it. The headset you use needs to have a removable mic that connects via AUX port as well.

Therefore, you will have the mic plugged in via USB for power, the Headset plugged into the controller, and your Mic connected to your headset via AUX cord.

I'm not aware of the Xbox One supporting USB microphones however the console does support some USB web cams. To try to get this support added you may wish to request this feature via the
Xbox Uservoice web site or vote on an existing idea.
