    External HDD Unplugged, Games Gone


    I noticed last night that my external hard drive that I store some of my games on got unplugged from my Series X. I plugged it back in and the Xbox did not recognize the drive or any of the games on it. It doesn’t even ask if I would like to format the drive again. Does anyone have any advice on what do to do or have I lost all of the games I had stored on it? I plugged it back in last night when I discovered it and today it still has not recognized the drive.

    Error code for three games

    All three of those error codes are also Windows error codes related to corrupted files.

    I see in another thread you tried unplugging your console.

    Uninstall all of those games you mention above.

    Unplug your console for 30 seconds (unplug from wall not just turn off)

    Turn the console back on

    If you are trying to install to an external HDD, try unplugging that and install to the internal HDD first.

    If you have an external HDD but are trying to install to the Internal HDD then unplug the external one anyway and try installing your games.

    If you are trying to install to an internal HDD, if you can get one try to install to an external HDD.

    Check you dont have your games on your external HDD, if they are, just unplug it and plug it back in, this should force a refresh for those games that on the external HDD.

    Hello!

    With the External Hard drive first close any Game/App that is using the external HDD.

    Then unplug From the console (try to not move the external Hard Drive before the unplug)

    Just to avoid unnecessary troubleshooting steps, I have an external HDD, but game updates for those on the external HD work fine. Downloads get stuck only when it comes to what is installed or being installed on the internal HDD. I also tried with the external
    HDD unplugged, same result.
