    External HDD not turning off in istant on


    I have a 1tb Toshiba external HDD connected to the console via the front usb port, it never used to cause me any problem but lately if I turn off the console in istant on it keeps blinking even after a lot of time from the turn off, and if I put it in Power Save it takes a while to turn off, blinking constantly. I'm currently in the Beta OS preview program.

    Hey bud.. if you have a extrenal HDD connected turn your xbox off and then unplug the hdd, turn console back on and do the update.. once update finishes turn xbox off and plug back in your external hdd.. this should 100% work for you

    Thank you! My external SSD plugged into my Series X was somehow causing this issue to happen. I turned the console off, unplugged it, and now it's updating just fine.

    I'm having the same issue with external hdd 2TB WD (it also have own power supply). I uncheked "turn off storage when xbox turned off", but downloads still not downloading. But if you turn off Xbox, of course i've it on instant mode, and then unplug and
    plug back usb from external hdd it starts downloading. This is probably the last of what I can do to starts downloading. I hope they will fix it.
