    External HDD issues (Omega ring)


    I’m not sure if this is an Insider-issue, but posting here because it is a possibility.

    As of approximately 1 am this morning, I am unable to open anything installed on the external hard drive of my Omega ring Xbox One; this includes the Insider app, which is preventing me from reporting this problem directly.

    Whenever I attempt to open a game or app installed on the hard drive, I get a message stating “[name] needs to finish installing or show ready to start before you can launch it” with the error code (0x80270300).

    I’ve already attempted a hard reset/cache clear, I’m not really sure what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Are you recording to internal or external storage? The latest forced Delta ring update (same update as Omega currently) on June 2 broke 4k capture again for me, SDR and HDR.

    Hi, it depends what ring you are in. Currently there is no insider build for Beta, Delta and Omega rings, this means you will be on the current public build.
